Steve, who joined the firm in 1977, has spent over 35 years in substantive areas of tax law, including 3 years with the Department of Treasury immediately prior to joining the firm. His practice at the firm centers primarily on insurance and financial product tax issues, and he works extensively on product design issues (including those for I.R.C. § 412(i) and § 419 plans), policy corrections with the IRS, and policy restructurings for insurance companies in insolvency proceedings. Steve received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1967 and his A.B. from Princeton in 1964.
